What is a Pick Module?

Pick Modules are engineered racking systems that integrate different storage solutions inside multi-level work platforms that move product efficiently through a distribution facility. Pick Modules facilitate high throughput while keeping a tight footprint.

Advantages of a Pick Module

At World Class Integration, we strongly adhere to four principles when designing warehouse solutions. These four principles are:

  • Preserve Flexibility
  • Adopt a holistic mentality
  • Prioritize Agility
  • Consider Cost

These four guiding principles have influenced us in promoting pick modules as an ideal, scalable, storage solution.

Pick Modules are modular. They can grow and expand in almost any direction on an x, y , and z-plane. A pick module is a phased solution in which you build what is needed and as you grow, you add to the module. Lead time and cost for materials for this system allows you to preserve flexibility, prioritize agility, and keep costs to a minimum. Pick modules also integrate nicely with other technologies such as conveyor and sortation.

Introducing the Continuous Pick Module

World Class Integration has partnered with MetalsistemUSA to create the continuous pick module. Similar to the difference between discrete and continuous classification, the continuous pick module does not have structural barriers to define where a bay or location ends. Having shelves that are continuous spaces rather than discrete allows for flexibility in determining location allocation for product.
